If you are about to forever unite with the girl of your dreams, this article will provide wedding speech ideas for you. Getting married is a very happy moment for you but it is also a very big responsibility.

During the wedding day, it is normally the groom who will do most of the official thanking. He can thank family members, relatives, friends, and other people, but it is a must that the following individuals are included:

• The father of the bride. The groom must thank the bride’s father for his blessing, his kind words, his generosity in helping for the wedding expenses, etc.
• Anyone else who have helped financially.
• The parents of the groom. The groom must thank his own parents for taking care of him, for providing for his education, for bringing him up to be a good citizen, and other positive points.
• Everyone in the room. The groom must thank everyone in the audience for accepting the wedding invitation and for their kind presents.

• The groom’s best man.
• Ushers, wedding planners, and other individuals who have helped greatly in preparing and planning for the wedding, and making it a successful and memorable one.
• The friends of the groom.

Aside from the aforementioned wedding speech ideas, it is also the groom’s job to make a toast on behalf of his bride and himself to their bridesmaids and pageboys.

The groom must also be entertaining, but not to that extent that it gets cheap. His speech must fall somewhere between the speeches of his new father-in-law and his best man. The groom must be careful not to show off, particularly to his father-in-law. Speeches during the wedding are not meant to be weighed and compared against each other. There is no competition here. Heartfelt sincerity and entertainment are what they center on.
Aside from thanking people, a good portion of the speech of the groom addresses the father-in-law. Do not forget that aside from saying (hopefully) what a good chap you are, his speech will surely speak of how they expect you to take care and look after their daughter, through ups and downs, for better of for worse, and so on – you get the point. Thus, your speech should acknowledge that of your father-in-law and speak of your promise to do what they want you to do and your vow to love your bride unconditionally, no matter what.
